All about me
Update: Dec 2009
Hello and Merry Chirstmas to everyone!!! I just wanted to stop by to let everyone know what is going on with my bag making:)
I will be on vacation from Dec 20-27 to take a much needed break and spend some time with my family. I will be updating my site during that time and will be including some new styles to the collection as well as fixing some mistakes on my website. So I will be on vacation but still working....never ends:) lol
I am also going to be working on some diaper bags that are due out, since the babies are due now!!!
When work resumes for me I will at last have some extra help(for a little while, my hubby) and I will be working extra hard to get out tons of bags. I have had my daughter, Elizabeth, working for me for a while now also and she is getting wonderful at making the bags. She makes most of the Ready Made bags as well as all of the little girl bags.
I will soon be adding a page with more items associated with my Military families. This will be headed up by Elizabeth and will be featuring camo designs with Children and Babies in Mind. I am very excited about showing all of the really cool things she and I have come up with. But don't worry, she will still be helping me with getting your bags out to you:)
Thank you to all of you who have purchased these wonderful handbags. I hope they are bringing you joy and warms your heart each time you look at them. I love seeing pics of you with your bags, it keeps me going in this crazy job I have chosen! Making my fellow Military wives, fiances, girlfriends, moms, etc happy and feeling closer to your loved one is exactly my goal.
Happy Holidays !!!
Update:Oct 2009
Well I was so excited to see Oct coming around, it's my favorite time of year. The weather has been great and the 100 degree heat is gone. But something else came in it's place...The flu!!!
First Lindsey, my 5 year old, comes down with it. So we sit in a clinic full of sick, coughing people. Using tons of hand sanitizer, scrubbing germs out of my house, and washing hands constantly just didn't work for us.:( First my hubby (who just had the flu shot) came down with it. Then my son started to complain about his throat. I knew I was in big trouble!!! So here I am on Sat Oct 10, my 4th day with this nasty virus. Today is the first day I can even get up and sit in my office chair. I can honestly say that this is one of the worst cases of the flu I have ever had in my life!!
I feel terrible too because I haven't been able to work on any orders for my customers
It is the first time in the 4 years that I have made my bags that I had to take more than a day off for being sick!!
So get your flu shots!!! The season started early and it is super contagious. Be heathly!
Update: May 2009.
So my life lately is pretty much revolves around my sewing machine:) It is a good thing I love what I do. I am late in my orders, they are taking longer than I expected. I am really sad about this but I am putting in lots of hours so eventually my ladies will get their bags.. Please, please, please, do NOT send me nasty emails. I would never be rude to anyone or treat them badly. I work for the Military wives out there and do this out of love. I really don't make the money that people think I do. Believe me, I would make more doing something else. But when I get wonderful phone calls, and emails from ladies and their hubby's expressing how much they appreciate what I do , then it makes me keep it up.
My life is crazy right now also. My daughter is graduating high school and already got an apartment with a girlfriend so she is really happy and doing well.
My son will be a junior next year and is girl crazy and wants a car!!!
My little girl who is 5 is just finishing pre-k (where does the time go?) Now it is time to register her for kindegarten:(
My hubby is still teaching Army, Navy, and Airforce guys and girls how to repair medical and X-ray equipment. Long hours so of course he is always tired, but what else is new. We will be moving next year to Ft Sam Houston in SanAntionio, so I am excited about moving back there since there is so much to do there!!!
Chow for now! Off to sew:)
Update: Aug 2008
I am a very busy Army wife, mother, and owner of this wonderful business of making handbags for very special ladies. Thank you so much for your support !
GOOD NEWS! I am now working full time, with regular hours, Mon-Fri 8-5. I have moved my "studio" to a bigger place, and now can devote more time to making handbags, purses, and diaper bags for my customers. I will be adding regular bags to my store also.
I will still be taking custom orders, however I will only be able to take a limited amount every month.
I would love to welcome Patti:) She will be helping me make these awesome bags, I am so happy to be working with her. I would also like to welcome my mother Elizabeth, who will be making childrens purses, pet clothes, and other items for our "kids". I will have her page up and running soon:)
